South Lyon Stars teaches younger children about the sport of Pom. In addition to learning proper Pom technique, the girls will learn team unity, positive sportsmanship, dedication, punctuality, and respect for themselves and others. South Lyon Stars is a Pom Club, this will be our 9th season. We are happy to have shared the LOVE of Pom with so many and we can't wait to continue our journey in the 2024-2025 season. South Lyon Stars has won many titles.

Coaching Staff:
Meredith McNamara
Meredith has lived in South Lyon for many years and has 3 children, Conner, Chloe, and Chase. Meredith graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. Outside of coaching, she enjoys traveling, shopping, and reading. She started her pompon career in high school as a member of the Plymouth-Salem Rockettes pompon team. She was a member from 1993-1996. In 2009, Meredith joined the coaching staff of Harrison High School alongside Stacy. In 2016 Meredith and Stacy also established a Pompon team at South Lyon East High School, allowing their stars to continue competing and their love for pom throughout high school.
Stacy Sheaffer
Started Pomming in High School she was part of the Canton Chiefettes from 1993-1997. The last 10 years Stacy has Coached at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, MI. Stacy has won 5 Mid American State Championships and 2 High Kick Championship. Stacy has lived in South Lyon for the 10 years and has 3 children, Aiden, Isabella and Charlotte. Coach Stacy feels so lucky to do what she loves with one of her Best Friends, She also enjoys working out , cooking and going Up North to play on the Lake :).
This will be Jenna’s 4th year coaching SL stars. Jenna started her pomming career at South Lyon Stars with Coach Meredith and Stacy! She has a passion and a love for the sport just as they do. After 2 years on SL stars. Jenna did 4 years at South Lyon Varsity pom. Jenna is a college student and this will be her 3rd year as a member of Atomic Pom.
Jenna Stanfield
This is Maria’s 3rd year coaching and 1st year with South Lyon Stars. Maria started her pom career at SL Stars. She was a Star for 3 years where she fell in love with Pom. Maria was a member of SL East Varsity Pom for 4 years and then went on the be part of Grand Valley State University Pom for 2 years. Maria is currently finishing her bachelors degree and is planning to attend University of Detroit Mercy studying Pre Dental.
